Ryerson University seeks an Assistant Professor, Department of History, in the history of Indigenous peoples

The Department of History in the Faculty of Arts at Ryerson University in the city of Toronto on the territory of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Huron-Wendat invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at Assistant Professor rank, beginning July 1, 2019, subject to final budgetary approval. The area of specialization is the history of Indigenous peoples. The successful candidate will join a growing number of faculty members in the Faculty of Arts whose research and teaching focuses on Indigenous issues.

All candidates with research and teaching expertise focused on the history of Indigenous peoples (including North American, global, comparative and/or cultural contact) will be considered. We especially welcome applications from scholars with demonstrated capacity also to contribute to methodological and/or other courses in the department’s BA program.
