Registration Procedures

Register for the 2017 Conference of the Canadian Association of African Studies following the procedures specified on the Congress of Humanities and Social Science website. http://congress2017.ca/register

Fees

The registration fees are broken down into two components – the Congress fee and the Association conference fees. All attendees, including speakers, presenters, panelists and those chairing or attending a session, must pay both the Congress fee and their Association fee.

Congress fees

The Congress fee is mandatory for all attendees including speakers, presenters, panelists and those chairing or attending a session.

Congress fee prior to March 31st:

  • Regular: $180
  • Students, retired and unwaged: $70

Congress fee as of April 1st:

  • Regular: $215
  • Students, retired and unwaged: $90

Association conference fees

Attendees participating at an association’s conference must also pay the association conference fees, which are set specifically by the associations and are collected by the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences on their behalf. All of the funds collected from these conference fees are given directly to the associations.

CAAS fees are:

  • Regular: $160
  • Retired:  $110
  • Students and Unwaged: $75

Payment of the CAAS conference registration fee confers membership in CAAS.
